Professor Gao Hongxia,

Professor Gao Hongxia, received her MA in 1998, a visiting scholar at Cornell University in 2012, and a supervisor for candidates of master degree majoring in English Language and Literature. Her research interests are American Literature and culture, comparative literature. She has published two books, A Thematic Study of the Contemporary American South Literature (2019) and 20th-Century American South Literature (2010), and more than twenty articles on American Literature and the studies of William Faulkner in journals such as Social Science Abroad, Journal of Lanzhou University, Journal of PLA University of Foreign Languages, World Literature Criticism and Gansu Social Sciences. She has presided over several scientific research projects, including the National Program for Philosophy and Social Science, Ministry of Education Project for Humanities and Social Science, Gansu Social Science Planning Project, National Major Projects of Basic Research Fund of Lanzhou University, and has participated in Key Project of the National Social Science Fund. She obtained the third prize of the ninth “Outstanding Achievements on Social Science of Gansu Province”, “Teaching Achievement Award by Gansu Education Department”, and “Teaching and Dedication Award” of the School of Foreign Languages and Literatures.
