Institute of English Language and Literature is an academic organization that integrates teaching, research and academic exchanges. Its focus is on the research of literary works written in English, literary schools, movements and thoughts, western critical theories, cultural studies and comparative literature study.

The institute has a strong faculty that includes 11 master supervisors (4 professors and 7 associate professors). It enrolls on a year-to-year basis master candidates in English literature, American literature, Shakespearean Studies and Canadian Studies.
