On the afternoon of September 13, Mr. Yang Xiaochun, Mr. Tang Yun and Mr. Hou Gang, Officials of the China Center for International People-to-People Exchange of Ministry of Education (CCIPE), visited the School of Foreign Languages and Literature (SFLL), Lanzhou University.

Mr. Yang gave a report entitled “Strengthening International Communications for Educational Opening-up Expansion and Talents Training Improvement”. The lecture was hosted by Professor Ding Shuqin, vice dean of SFLL，and attended by SFLL’s teachers and students.

In the report, Mr. Yang made a comprehensive interpretation about the core meaning, subject areas, essence, new vision and urgency of international communications under the new situation. He explained in detail what is international communication, why we need to strengthen it, the existing challenges and problems. Based on these explanations, Mr. Yang introduced the principles and concepts of sustainable development in international communication. After the meeting, he discussed with the teachers and students of SFLL on issues related to international communication. The report, said the attending teachers and students, expanded their horizons, stimulated their enthusiasm for learning, and give them a chance to take a deeper look in international communications.

Mr. Yang also had a discussion and exchange with the leaders of SFLL and visited the School History Display Room.
