A campus trip for special children from Fanchen Anxing school was launched on May 13 by 15 teachers from the CPC branch of Russian, Japanese, German and French departments of School of Foreign Languages and Literatures, Lanzhou University.

At 13:30, Han Li, Secretary of the Party branch, with other members of the branch,  set off to Fanchen Anxing Special Education Center to pick up the children; At 14:00, the Party branch members, along with Hua Rui, and Liu Yang, two leaders of the School, as well as volunteers from the Morning Star Public Welfare Association and the affiliated primary school of Lanzhou University, welcomed the 15 children and two teachers at the main entrance of the western district of Chengguan Campus.

After a brief training, the teachers and student volunteers of Lanzhou University worked in pairs, holding hands with the little guests, and began their half-day campus trip. The visting group started from Alumni Square, passed through Shaw Science Hall, Longji Statue, Gezhi Building, Wuben Road, Zhongling Hill and Yuxiu Lake, and arrived at the “Hive Theater” to watch the show of “TENG Band” formed by students. The little guests were invited to participate in the performance. Afterwards, the group arrived at the first floor of Jaishi Library.

Finally, they arrived at School of Foreign Languages and Literatures. With a warm reception, Lu Xiaobing, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the School, and Zhu Gang, Dean of the School, held a cordial talk with the visiting teachers and students, and Zhang Hong, member of the branch, prepared snacks for the children. After the tea break, the leaders of the School gave the children picture books with good wishes.

This trip is one of the series of activities of “Learning Party History, Doing Practical Work”. In the future, School will continue to cooperate with Fanchen Anxing School by taking advantage of its professional strengths to provide the children with help within reach.
