On May 26, Prof. Shang Biwu from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, also a Young Cheung Kong Scholar, National "Ten Thousand People Plan" Young Leading Talent, PhD Degree supervisor, was invited to the Cuiying Honors Forum where he delivered a lecture entitled “Non-human Narrative: From Concept to Criticism”, which was convened by Prof. Shi Juhong.

Prof. Shang analyzed non-human beings in terms of their types, functions and research significance. Next, Prof. Shang proposed that as a perspective, non-human narrative is fit for the study of science fiction and children’s literature, which, with ways of de-familiarization, will prompt human beings to observe themselves from the angle of the Other, and then to construct an interactive subjectivity between two sides.
