The 5th Gansu Provincial University Teaching Innovation Competition, hosted by the Gansu Provincial Department of Education, concluded successfully at Lanzhou University of Technology. Featuring over 140 educators from 26 provincial universities, themed of “Driving Pedagogical Innovation, Nurturing Top-Tier Talents,” the event has six categories: Emerging Engineering, New Liberal Arts, Integrated Medicine/Agriculture, Foundational Courses, Curriculum Ideology, and Industry-Education Integration. Amid rigorous competition, Ms. Liu Jing from SFLL (School of Foreign Languages and Literatures) at Lanzhou University secured the first place in the Basic Disciplines Category, the university’s best-ever result in this competition.

Liu’s award-winning course, Introduction to International Organization Literature, represents a collaborative effort by the school’s faculty team including Professor Zhu Gang, Professor Shi Juhong, together with such excellent young teachers as He Qing and Jiao Hongyan. Centered on international organization documentation, the curriculum develops students’ professional competencies in international institutions. This milestone underscores the school’s commitment to pedagogical excellence, reflecting ongoing efforts in faculty development.
