On August 30, the SFLL hosted a foreign faculty workshop in Room 301 of Mingdao Building. Deputy Dean Ding Xuhui presided over the session, attended by all international faculty, foreign affairs staff, and liaisons.

Ding highlighted recent achievements in national teaching competitions and first-class course awards, shared the university’s summer conference insights, and outlined new semester preparations. He stressed talent cultivation as a core mission, urging the faculty to innovate pedagogy—integrating cutting-edge knowledge, interdisciplinary methods, and student-centered evaluations. He also drew attention digital literacy, smart course design, and team collaboration to elevate foreign language education university-wide.

Foreign faculty actively joined in the heated discussion on these themes, pledging to refine lesson plans, adopt creative teaching strategies, and approach the new semester with renewed energy.
