School of Foreign Languages and Literatures Visits Lanzhou Foreign Language Senior High School for In-Depth Talks on Internship Base Construction

To further implement the special initiative on “visiting enterprises to expand employment opportunities” and enhance the quality of talent cultivation, a delegation from the SFLL visited Lanzhou Foreign Language Senior High School on March 25. The two sides held in-depth discussions on talent cultivation, internship base construction, and faculty exchanges. The delegation included Shi Wei, Deputy Dean of the School and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Fang Yan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; counselors Gao Kun and Guo Jiadong; and student representatives from both undergraduate and graduate programs.

At the meeting, Jiang Guohong, Principal of Lanzhou Foreign Language Senior High School, welcomed the delegation and introduced the school’ s faculty and educational scale. He noted that the two sides share a long history of cooperation and expressed his hope that this exchange would lay a solid foundation for enhancing students’ practical language skills, further strengthening the foreign language features of the high school, and expanding pathways for talent cultivation.

Shi Wei noted that the two schools have maintained close exchanges. The establishment of an internship base will provide valuable opportunities for students of the School to improve their professional competence and practical skills. The School will, in turn, support Lanzhou Foreign Language Senior High School in areas such as academic guidance, professional awareness, and career planning.

Fang Yan introduced the School’ s academic programs, enrollment scale, and educational features. She expressed the hope that the two schools would take this exchange as an opportunity to deepen cooperation in talent cultivation and internship practices, achieve positive interaction, and jointly explore new models for diversified talent cultivation, thereby contributing to the high-quality development of education in Gansu Province.

The two sides held further discussions on specific matters such as the construction of the internship base and the implementation of student internships. They agreed to build a long-term cooperation mechanism, expand areas of collaboration, and jointly advance deep cooperation in education and practice.
